Hi!

I am Ashis Chanda, completed my Ph.D. program from the Computer & Information Sciences Department at Temple University, PA, USA. I am also an adjunct faculty at the Computer Science Department in Rowan University, NJ, USA.

I worked in the Data Science lab of Temple University as a research assistant of Prof. Slobodan Vucetic. My research focuses on electronic patient health records and medical data analysis using NLP and deep learning models. I also worked in Fox Chase Cancer Center as a research associate, where I build interactive software to visualize medical code relationship for patient cohort identification.

In more technical terms, my research focuses on applying Text Mining, NLP, Deep Learning, Machine Learning (ML), Data Visualization, and Data Mining techniques. I am passionate about working in those fields to explore real-life problems and build a professional career in ML research.
